The latest craze in online marketing is to submit article to website design to distribute free website content. So in theory you write an article add a link to your website and then nice friendly webmasters put it on thier website for all their visitors to see. So you get the greatly sort after one way relevant links, and you also get you website plugged on another website.

Which sounds fantasic what with all the rumour that reciprocal linking no longer works.

I'm am still to be convinced, that this really is the way forward. Internet marketing via article writing in my opinion requires a lot of skill.

For example how easy would it be to get inbound links to help get a good position in the search engines. Now the search engine have a filter that make sure that the same pages are not duplicated, the dup filter, because because everyone is picking up the same article it will alway be limited by the duplication filter, so you can have the article publish on a thosand websites, the search engines are only going to give you credit for one and they might not even add your link.

So you could up writing ten articles and only ever get back one link.

"But what about all the traffic the article will generate?" I hear you say! Well sometimes. To persuade site to publish your articles they have to be done in a certain way. The main reason people don't get many article published is because they write advertisements, they just write article selling their product or service. Very few people want to publish these kind of articles. To get them published their needs to be something in it for the website that are published. But if you write a informative/entertaining piece that is not made to advertise, the reader usually won't have any good incentive to go to your site.

Website owners will be reluctant to publish anythign that will send people away.

I predict 4 months down the line, everyone will be sick to the back teeth of think up articles after getting next to no results.
